Responsibilities and good practices
Before to arrange any trip, it’s important to have everything clear 🐕🐈
The three most important things
Be aware that if something unexpected happens to the animal during transport that is not attributable to the volunteer. The transport volunteer cannot be held responsible.
If you decide to offer a monetary reward, do not offer more than the cost of the journey. The platform aims to help the animals. It is not for the volunteers to make a profit.
If you decide to offer a monetary reward, NEVER give anyone money before you have your pet in your possession.
Responsibilities
- To have the animal’s papers ready on the day of travel.
- To organise the logistics until the animal arrives at the airport, port or train station on the day of travel.
- Logistics include: getting to the place of departure, appropriate crate or carrier, vaccinations and travel papers.
- Paying for your pet’s expenses.
